৭) পুরনো অভ্যাস যেতে চায় না
=Old habits die hard.
৮) পুরনো চাল ভাতে বাড়ে
=All that is old is not bad.
৯) পেটে খেলে পিঠে সয়
=Pain is forgotten where gain follows.
১০) পেটেরটার আশায় কোলেরটা মেরো না
=Don’t exchange substance for shadow.
১১) পেলে না তাই খেলে না
=One blames what one cannot get.
১২) পৈতে থাকলেই বামুন হয় না
=It is not the hood that makes the monk.
১৩) প্রচেষ্টা ছাড়া কিছুই হয় না
=Nothing venture, nothing have.
১৪) প্রতিকারের উপায় না থাকলে সহ্য করতে হবে
=What can’t be cured must be endured.
১৫) প্রয়োজন আইন মানে না
=Necessity knows no law.
১৬) প্রয়োজনই আবিষ্কারের প্রসূতি
=Necessity is the mother of invention.
১৭) প্রেম অন্ধ
=One may fall in love with anybody.

=Love conquers all.

=Self help is the best help.
২৮) বল, বুদ্ধি, ভরসা চল্লিশ হলেই ফরসা
=If a man does not attain wisdom at the age of forty, he never be wise.
২৯) বলা সহজ, কিন্তু করা কঠিন
=It is easy to say something but it is difficult to perform it.
৩০) বসতে দিলে শুতে চায়
=Give him an inch and he will take an ell.
